Who we are

We're a small studio with a name we have to live up to.

Eager [ee-ger] Adjective
Because we still get genuinely excited about a good brief, the awkward ones especially.

Earnest [ur-nist] Adjective
Because we'd rather tell you the truth about your brand than tell you what you'd like to hear. Those two words do a lot of work around here. They're the reason we say yes, and occasionally the reason we say no.

That's not a philosophy we printed on a wall, it's just what those two words cost us. We'll tell you when an idea isn't there yet, even mid-project, even if it means more work for us. That's the earnest part. The eager part is that we don't really mind.

What we do

The difference is that we treat them as one job rather than four. A strategy that never becomes an ad is a document. An identity that can't survive contact with a media schedule is a mood board. So the thinking and the making happen in the same room, and we stay with it — from the first messy workshop through to the last round of retouching, where most of the difference actually lives.

Some of it is big: a campaign that has to hold up for two years across every screen and bus shelter in the state. Some of it is small: one line, fixed properly. We give both the same attention, because people can always tell which one you phoned in.
